This is "a little slice of heaven on the beach." Scattered around 25 acres atop a seaside bluff, the "charming New England–style cottages" have bay windows, fireplaces, and private decks or patios with views of the ocean, grounds, or golf course. Located above the spa and Japanese Zen gardens, spa suites include oversized hydrotherapy tubs and built-in massage tables. Dine on Midwestern grain-fed and dry-aged beef at Stars—"excellent food, although quite pricey"—in a room with custom chandeliers and picture windows; Sacred Cod Tavern offers New England favorites and fish dishes. "This is what you picture when you dream of a country inn."
