Celebrity Cruises Iconic Suites
Celebrity likes to say these suites have “a better view than the Captain,” as they’re positioned right above the ship’s bridge on Edge series ships, including the new Celebrity Ascent, launching in December 2023. These two-bed, two-bath suites boast 1,892 square feet—and that’s just inside. There’s also a 680-square-foot private terrace with a whirlpool tub. Suite guests have a butler, Le Labo bath amenities, access to The Retreat lounge and sun deck, two bottles of spirits of the guests' choice plus mixers in the suite, and a choice of dining venues—any of the ship’s restaurants (including specialty restaurants for lunch or dinner) or the exclusive suite-only Luminae.

Virgin Voyages' Mega Rock Star Quarters
The largest suites on the adults-only Virgin Voyages ships are called Mega Rock Star Quarters, and the rock star moniker isn’t just hyperbole—some of the 2,147 square feet of floor space is dedicated to a personal music room. There are also sumptuous marble “peekaboo” baths and showers and an expansive outdoor sun deck with private whirlpool, hammocks, daybeds, and dining space. Suite guests have exclusive access to Richard’s Rooftop, a private sundeck for cocktails, in addition to bottomless drinks both in-room and around the ship (with reasonable limits), access to the Thermal Suite in the Redemption Spa, and a Mega Rock Star Agent to fulfill requests.
Ponant's Le Commandant Charcot’s Owner’s Suite
The top suite on this luxury expedition ship has an amenity almost necessary for voyages to the poles—a steam fireplace for that in-from-the-weather ambiance in the living room. Guests might relax after a day of polar exploration in the hot tub on their outdoor terrace, which is also outfitted with a Swarovski telescope, or by snacking on the canapés and fresh fruit delivered daily by the butler, who also restocks the bar setup. When not relaxing in the 1,237-square-foot suite, they can dine on Bernardaud china from Limoges at the first Alain Ducasse restaurant at sea, where the diners can peer into the ship’s second bridge to see the operational crew at work.
Royal Caribbean's Ultimate Family Suite
It’s called the Family Suite (available on select ships), but it’s really about the kids—and kids at heart. This bi-level suite has its own slide (yes, it’s big enough for adults), in addition to bunk beds, a dedicated cinema and video game lounge, and an air hockey table. Outside on the balcony, there’s a play area, table tennis, and a hot tub. For the adults, there’s a primary suite with Frette linens and an impressive large-screen television that stows in the ceiling. The suite is part of the Star tier of the Royal Suite Class collection, which comes with the highest level of added amenities, like Wi-Fi, included gratuities, specialty dining, complimentary laundry and pressing, the deluxe beverage package, and a “Royal Genie” to coordinate and plan it all.
